About Meta Tags
what people say
Five or six years ago a designer would build a website, include meta tags which are basically
two things:
1. Meta Description: A brief description of your website content.
2 Key Words: The list of key words that can be related to your website separated by commas, that
may help find your website on the web. Some say that having up to 200 or 300 words could help people
get to your site.
This wouldn't insure but would give you some confidence that sooner or later Robots or Spiders
(search engine software that scan the internet) would scan yours.
Websites wihout Meta Tags can still be seen on the web, websites that to search engines still don't exist.
Sites that float in the universe of Limbo. Many website designers center their web projects on flashy
designs and animations where Meta Tags are nowhere to be found, leaving it unvisible to search engines
such as Yahoo and Google.
That's why it's good to include them anyways, one way or another websites with meta tags are going
to be scanned someday.
For those who say Meta Tags aren't important because they don't help at all, but on a web where millions of
websites coexist, anything that can be done to make your website more noticeable is positive
